Cambridgeshire Advanced Drivers and Riders (CADAR) are a friendly local group of RoSPA Advanced Drivers and Riders (RoADAR). Our aim is to reduce road accidents by encouraging an interest in road safety through improving driving standards, knowledge and skill.

We are committed to:

All training is FREE to members of the group and is provided by one of the group's qualified and carefully selected Advanced Driving or Riding Tutors. Every member is assigned one of the group's tutors for one-to-one tuition at mutually convenient times. You can have as many lessons as you need until you achieve Test Standard, although just a small number of lessons will improve your skills. You will feel much more confident about your driving or riding skills and will be much less likely to have an accident.

We have tutor coverage across Cambridgeshire, including the CADAR home cities of Cambridge and Ely.

Please note that potential applicants for Membership of CADAR who are drivers who earn, or intend to earn, their income from professional driving (e.g. taxi, lorry, van etc.) and require a RoSPA driving test as a condition of their employment are outside the remit of CADAR for training. For advice on training these drivers should contact Amy Brant (RoSPA) on her Direct Dial Number (0121 2482127) or Email (abrant@rospa.com).

Annual membership is only £10, so download our membership form and join now!

Next public meeting will be  on Sunday 19th November 2017 at 10:00am

at Cambridgeshire Army Cadet Force HQ in Waterbeach

Rural Young Drivers Project
John Morris will be giving a RoSPA presentation about the Rural Young Drivers Project where we will find out why crashes happen involving young drivers on rural roads, where and when it is likely to happen and the effect of distraction and the consequences when things go wrong.  Even if you are only young at heart I am sure that you have children or grandchildren that this may apply to.
