Cambridgeshire Advanced Drivers and Riders (CADAR) are a friendly local group of RoSPA Advanced Drivers and Riders (RoADAR). Our aim is to reduce road accidents by encouraging an interest in road safety through improving driving standards, knowledge and skill.
We are committed to:
- Road safety
- Promoting the Police Systems of Car and Motorcycle Control
- Free training for members to improve their skills and prepare for the RoSPA Advanced Test if they wish
All training is FREE to members of the group and is provided by one of the group's qualified and carefully selected Advanced Driving or Riding Tutors. Every member is assigned one of the group's tutors for one-to-one tuition at mutually convenient times. You can have as many lessons as you need until you achieve Test Standard, although just a small number of lessons will improve your skills. You will feel much more confident about your driving or riding skills and will be much less likely to have an accident.
We have tutor coverage across Cambridgeshire, including the CADAR home cities of Cambridge and Ely.
Annual membership is only £10, so download our membership form and join now!
Next public meeting will be on Sunday 6th November 2016
Brian Matthews - Are driverless cars the future?
In early 2017 Milton Keynes will deploy driverless cars on the highway network along with autonomous pods on the city's pavements. These demonstrations are backed by government and industry partners and are designed to illustrate the UKs capabilities in this emerging technology. How is the city ensuring they are safe, and what are the potential benefits?
